Happy New Year to you all! I hope your Christmas was magical and fun! Ours was loud, chaotic and wonderful :)
And now onto the New Year, my 2 main resolutions are:
* To be more organised,
* Catch up with the kids Scrapbooks / Take a group shot of the kids every day this year.
I have already started and after pinning some wonderful ideas on Pinterest I have set the wheels in motion to create an 'Organisation Station' in the black hole under the stairs - a place where old pushchairs and coats go (and sometimes are never seen again!) I took a quick visit to Ikea, (thanks Hub!), to purchase an Expedit shelving unit, that one genius blogger had turned on its side to create a bench with storage cubby's underneath. A bit of crafting will be involved to make a seat cushion for the top and to customise the storage baskets. I also picked up a shelf with coat hooks on from Argos to create individual spaces for the kids, to hang schoolbags / playgroup backpack etc. I really can't wait to put it all together along with the accessories I picked up. I will post some piccies when it is done!
I am also determined to catch up with the kids scrapbooks, when my first baby was born I really kept on top of his layouts, but as the family increased I have fallen way behind! I also have a plan to take a group shot of the kids every day - it'll be fun to see how they all grow during the year (especially the baby,who is 7 weeks old tomorrow!)
I have also been having a little think about bringing back the Tutorial series and wondered if anyone would be interested in seeing its return? My top posts all seem to be Tutorials, (or the Festive Fun Series), and I always enjoyed doing them. Obviously, they have been on a little hiatus during my pregnancy and I wasn't sure whether to carry on with them in the future or maybe limit them?

I am just thinking ahead to the New Year and what direction I want the blog to take: at the moment - it is a mish-mash of my crafting, party planning/ideas and tutorials.
What do you all think? Would love your feedback on:
** If you would like to see more Tutorials on here and how often?
and
Do you like the in-depth tutes or just quick how-to's? **

Happy New Year xxxooo, confession, I have albums of photos of number one and one single printed photo of poor Max, although I have plenty on digital! I personally love tutorials, but a quick how to for simple things is good too. Maybe a mix of both, or whatever a mother of 4 including a newbie can get ime for. Xo Mel
ReplyDeleteHappy Hew Year!
ReplyDeleteyour tutorials are great, but on the simple ones I'd just do a smple how to do, would work!

Love your tutorials! They never fail to inspire me and have given quite a few of them a go :-)
ReplyDeleteWhy not do a mix of quick makes and full tutorials, that way you aren't "tied" to either?
Big hugs and happy new year to you and your lovely family!!
