Happy Easter Monday all, hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend and ate lots and lots of chocolate! We had a nice quiet one, but we did go up my lovely Mum-in-law's for Easter Sunday Tea - yum!
And today, is my youngest's actual birthday - so happy 2nd birthday little man! We have had a nice morning playing with his 'choo-choo's'
A little while back I signed up for a Vintage Easter Swap arranged by Lissy Lou - I was paired up with the lovely Vintage Vicki. After a few emails and perusing each other's blogs the time came to send the parcels. Vicki had told me that she really loved the Easter cover of Homes and Antiques magazine. You know I love a good theme - so I set out to recreate a version of the cover and this is what I came up with...
I handmade a mini bunting using vintage fabric and garden twine, I painted the roof of a blue birdhouse pink and added a few wooden pink hearts and a welcome sign. Then I attached a green birdie.
I included an egg deco, wooden bunny ornament, a hanging bird deco, a spotted rabbit egg cosy, sewing needles in a pretty flower basket case and a vintage Easter tin filled with chocolate bunnies as well as some mini eggs - yum!
All wrapped up ready to go in birdie paper. I also included a mini windmill and a Me to You Easter Book. Vicki loved her goodies and has posted about it here. You can also have a little peek at her Easter display here.
Here is the fab Easter goodies I received from Vicki...
All packaged up in Easter Green tissue paper and inside was...
A gorgeous spring coloured brooch and buttons on playing cards - love that touch!
A Jemima Puddleduck Egg Cup...
A pretty crocheted covered jar full to the brim of mini eggs - nom nom!
And check out this beauty - the cutest bunny I ever did see. I love it, Vicki is sooooo talented!
And last, but by no means least, beautiful spring napkins!
Thank you Vicki, you were so generous and I will treasure them all!
Well, that is me all caught up! Hope you enjoy the rest of the day,
Take care
xx

ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your little man, 2 is such a fun age! My baby boy is 25 now and I miss him being little, but he is really quite a nice young man! ;-)
What wonderful gifts you both made and sent to each other! It has reminded me of how much fun our swap was and that I really must do another one soon. That bunny is just gorgeous, does she have a name?
