Good Morning, welcome to Tutorial Tuesday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed Mother's Day - I shared mine with my firstborn's 6th Birthday, I couldn't ask for a better gift! I spent the day building lots of Lego and enjoying seeing what a lovely boy my first baby is growing into.
Today, still staying with 'Spring is in the Air' themed Tutorials - I will be sharing a lovely Easter Egg Door Stop, (or you can use it as a paper weight etc)...
You will need:
An Easter Egg Shaped Pebble,
Paint in Easter Egg Colours,
Narrow Paintbrushes,
A Pencil,
A Marker Pen,
Newspaper.
Step 1:
Draw your desired pattern onto your pebble using a pencil...
Step 2:
Start painting each section with bright Easter coloured paints, I alternated painting each section to stop the colours mixing into one another. I also used narrow paintbrushes for finer detail...
...Leave these sections to dry.
Step 3:
Paint the other sections and leave to dry...
Step 4:
Flip the pebble over and paint the back...
...and leave to dry.
Step 5:
Give each section another coat of paint to get a nice even coverage then leave to dry...
Step 6:
Take a co-ordinating marker pen and draw over the lines of each section to give definition...

Voilà a fun, pretty Easter Egg Pebble Doorstop - perfect for holding open your back door to let in the Spring air!
You could even use it to brighten up a Garden rockerie, add fun to an Easter Egg Hunt Display or just use it as a seasonal paperweight.
Have fun and see what you could use it for!
Enjoy the rest of the day :)
xx
