Hello, hope you are all having a lovely weekend so far! It is that time of the month where I share Party Themes or Ideas from my Shindigs or from across the wonderful world wide web.
I have posted about all of the parties I have held for my kiddo's so far - well the ones that I have tons on photos and details on anyway! There have been more but I will spare you :), (I am currently working on Lego .V. Mega Bloks party for the end of next month & on my daughter's party in the Summer), so today I thought I would do a 'Focus On' post and share some ideas for adding some fun to your party!
Today I will be focusing on Photo Props...
For my daughter's Fairy / Elf Party we used a large picture frame, a speech bubble sign saying 'Not Mushroom in here!', Elf Horns, Elf Ears, a Glowing wand and a few small mushroom ornaments. The kids loved taking it in turns to have a go of the different props and they got to sit in 'Toad-stool Corner' to have their pictures taken...
I have a lovely version of this area planned for my daughter's next party, so watch out for that nearer the Summer!
There are so many fab resource sites out there where you can download photo props for free (as long as they are for personal use).
My three favourites are:
An amazing site, where you can purchase print paper packs and party theme e-books, enabling you to create some amazing party decor and invites and photo props like Princess / Mermaid Crowns and Pirate 'Hooks'. If you sign up for the newsletter you get sent a monthly one with free printpapers attached, along with some really fab, crafty ideas and how-to's on making your next kids party amazing! You can also download a Free e-book on 'how to host a themed party'. I already have a paper pack from Linda ready to use for my daughter's next party - can't wait to get crafting with it!
This site has a really good selection of paper props from speech bubble signs, to hats and mustaches.
This fab site has oodles of real parties to drool over and offers freebies too. The link above takes you to the mustaches and lips props (amongst a few others).
I have downloaded these to use at my boys' party - I can just see the fun to be had with these! They are so easy to create, just download and print the page onto white cardboard, cut out your chosen mustache and attach to a kebab skewer - easy peasy! If you wish you can glue the printed page onto a foam sheet before cutting out with a craft knife, as this will give it a bit more durability. To be honest I am not making them for the long-term so quick and easy suits me better!
So much fun! :)
So there we are - a little snapshot into the wonderful world of Party Photo Props. There are obviously so many more amazing sites out there that offer photo props, but those above are the ones I have discovered and like. Pinterest is also another good research tool as it can give you ideas to make into your own.
Have a fabby weekend all and if you are party-planning have fun and take lots of photos ;)
xx
