Theme Reveal...

OK, OK, I thought I would be able to drag it out a bit longer but I give in! I am far too excited - I must share the theme so I can show you what I have made so far!

Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and had a go at guessing the theme - there were some really fab ideas in there! And thank you always for your lovely comments - I enjoy reading them and they really mean a lot to me!

I should have mentioned that my older boy will be turning 6 and my younger son will be turning 2. The theme we picked incorporates their love of 2 similar toys but are age appropriate! The theme is.....

...Well actually - LEGO .V. MEGA BLOKS!

The majority of the guests will be older children, perfect for the Lego element and for the babies there will be plenty of Mega Blok activities and fun!

I will just show you a sneaky peek of a few little makes so far...

...A topiary tree made from Lego with a Mega Blok pot. (Tutorial coming soon!)

(I had a bit of help:)! )

...A couple of jersey fabric rosettes for embellishing...

...And I am so pleased that the yellow and blue net fabric I ordered arrived yesterday so I can crack on with my daughter's tutu...

I will just team it with some red net fabric I already have to make a really full bright tutu! I am thinking about getting some cute braces to go with it and some hi-top trainers. I know, I know, OTT as usual!

Last little thing to show you - Lego block ear-rings for me! I have also made a necklace. I had a very interesting conversation with my boy about these - but that's a story for another post :)

Hope you have enjoyed my little makes so far, don't worry I won't post tooooo much about party-planning - I will just sprinkle it in amongst the Twinkles, the Tutorials and the Twirls!

Have a lovely Sunday all!

xx

  7. THATS AMAZING!!! Such a good idea, think I'd struggle to think of a theme with such a big age gap. The photo of the lego man helping with the lego tree made me laugh out loud :) CANT WAIT!!!

  13. Oh, my son loved Legos when he was young. He used to play with them all the time and put incredible things together with them. It is a fantastic party theme. Those earrings are so cool!
